It brought back a lot of memories as this is the kind of alarm clock that managed to wake me up when I just started school as a kid :). I can’t think anything more effective than this to get me started, probably I should have bought this much earlier.

Am planning to readjust my sleep patterns again actually, hope it’d be of great help :).

By the way, got two new books myself while finding myself close to finishing Anthony Robbins Awaken the Giant Within, which strongly impacted me and reinforced a lot of concepts that I have been loosely building up throughout the years. It couldn’t be a much appropriate time for me to dig deep and do some soul search at times like this …

Went out for a physically demanding yet extremely fun outing yesterday as I find myself trying new activities: namely paintball and go-karting.

About ten of my colleagues (I’d rather call them office-mates, though 😊 ) joining this “killing spree” organized by the company’s sports club, we got up early and reached the National Paintball League situated in Astaka Sport Complex, PJ. We are separated into ten teams of five, mixing ourselves with new friends.

Getting to the game itself is a completely different experience than being ourselves in our normal day-to-day life: when nervousness and initial doubts about the pain we are going to receive are completely wiped out by the adrenaline that pumps into our body and the excitement that we anticipate from intense combat.

… and I do have to say what it seemed to suit my needs perfectly in a logical sense doesn’t mean that it’s the best choice that I’d make for myself (or in another way of putting it, I’d like it myself).

I’m talking about my new Nokia 3500 classic, which is just the phone that suits my needs perfectly: 2MP camera, microSD support, Bluetooth and FM radio functionality, it even supports EDGE for that matter (but not 3G, but Digi still haven’t had its 3G license so what the heck). It even uses a standard mini USB connector which means that I don’t have to purposely buy a cable for it. For the extra 100 or so, I could get a 2MP camera over a typical VGA one …

… as in spending two whole days drowning myself in the world of Ys 😛 (i.e. been playing Ys I & II Complete).

At least now I’m having the mood to do with normal chores: order my new pair of spectacles, done grocery shopping and cleaned up a bit. Was sort of noticing blind spots when I was crossing that very pedestrian bridge and focus on which important spots that I can get a clear view of the situation. Well, after all, I have been using that bridge for like 5 years and it’d be statistically unwise to fear crossing it ever again :). Just needed to learn how to be more alert and observant while walking alone.

… I was assaulted and had my mobile phone robbed, plus a knock on my left forehead with a helmet. Ouch.

Anyway, sparing the details (or rather I wouldn’t want to delve too much about it), was robbed when I’m crossing the pedestrian bridge at Jalan Sultan yesterday afternoon. Decided to be admitted in the hospital for a day to have my head injuries observed and now recuperating back home. Lucky is the fact my damages, both physically and financially, is very minor, just a few bruises and a knock over my head. But I need to get a new phone, phone number and glasses; especially the glasses as my old ones was a bit overpowered. I wonder whether the occasional dizziness were because of the injury or my overpowered glasses ^^||.

It really came to me as a surprise (literally) as I won it via the Gatsby Move with Style contest, which I completely forgot about it after I dropped the contest form end of last year. Was currently reading Anthony Robbins’ Awakening the Giant Within.

And is currently steering my blog content towards a new yet still not clearly defined direction, but for certain is that I’m stopping Today’s Drifting Thoughts and Impromptu posts while I’m entering a phase of reprogramming myself. I definitely need a break and map out a new course in my own thinking and steer my life towards a future that I wanted to be.

Finally got round to watch the anime :), at least the first season of it. Kind of funny that when the familiar style of artwork was shown, it’s just so J.C. Staff :p, but probably it seemed that I find myself watching quite a number of anime produced by them :).

Personally I like how they did the artwork and retained all the essence of the manga itself (except for most of the material of book 1 which seemed to be quite… erm… pointless. Even all the running gags are handled in a manner that makes it even funnier to watch it in action.

But, despite the fact that I find the pacing to be just right, I still find it too fast to cause a tear jerking impact to me ^^||. Probably also because it …

Lot of things going on in life but yet I find myself not finding them significant enough to bother jotting down about them, mainly as all my energies were focused in getting my work done.

Generally have been wondering and pondering about stuff again, mainly trying to bring the same topics that I have been debating in my brain for so long which the only thing that was never done is to muster all courage to make a stand and take any actions/plans to change if necessary.

Something that I have been putting a slow pace on actually.

My judgment day is today, and from tomorrow onwards I will not be able to see him most of the time anymore. But honestly speaking after all these months I healed myself off pretty soon, transitioned …

But anyway, CNY had been pretty dull, in a way. Part of it because of the apparent lack of festive mood in both my hometown and KL, and the other being me sort of feeling some sort of distance among my old class/schoolmates. Not really distance per se, but just apparent that the difference in environment and a long separation requires some ice-breaking which I didn’t really bothered to attempt. Laziness? Shyness?
