It’s been about a week ever since my modem fried, and having myself being less exposed to the Internet at the same time. Apart from checking my e-mail, catching up with the latest happenings of the online forums that I frequent and updating my LJ, most of my time spent is more on …mmm, living my life XDDD.

These days I have been thinking, a lot in fact, reviewing quite a lot of my own perspective towards a lot of different things. It’s kind of interesting actually, I just feel like I’m putting myself on a third person perspective while looking into my thoughts during the past and present.

Been raining quite a lot lately and that also means that I’m stuck in one.

The final year project presentation is pretty smooth, although I believe that I can do better (I always find myself making slight pauses once in a while to find suitable words on top of my brain). But overall I’m glad that I did quite well. (hopefully the grades also looks good as well).

Nothing much lately, it has been pretty calm after my final year project thesis has been handed up. Although there’re some rough and rushing times, but most part of it I find myself relaxing. Does this spell a possible plan for adventure? You bet ;). I’m kinda run out of ideas though, since I’m not that much of a wild person (Ed: Define …

And so I just reached home.

Qing Ming is pretty smooth and sunny yesterday :), but sunny might be the negative part of things as it’s blazing hot out there without any shades from anything on top of my head :p. Then I have to go back home as I do have classes today :(. But at least on the way with aunt Ling and uncle Vincent has been pretty fun :), for one thing I get to know Terrance better and got to continue (and finish) watching Initial D Third Stage The Movie. ❤ And I’m really excited to get to know more friends better along the way (which includes my team mates for my virtual reality assignment).

First things first, I’m at my parents’ place now, as today (as in in 3 hours time or so) my family (including close relatives) will be going for Qing Ming (or Tomb Sweeping Day, according to Google search :p). For those who are non-Chinese, basically it’s a day where we visit the graveyard and upkeep our ancestors’ graves. It’s an important day as we should commemorate the deceased loved ones.

The thought and journey of being at home is extremely pleasant, and today is really special as everyone in my family has came back (as in my younger brother and sister). Let’s see… more annoyance that I really feel really f’d (Guess that’s pretty implied) up. The list continues:

• I notice that graphic card I bought is really a cheap imitation D:. OK, probably the chipset is definitely right (as shown in the BIOS screen anyway), but there’s definitely something really wrong with the electronics or the the driver provided (since I notice that the driver is written for… nVidia chipsets?!)

  So I really don’t know what should I do with it now actually. Although it is OK to do my daily task, the games are EXTREMELY sluggish. And since the card is still usable, I don’t think I can get a refund or an exchange of hardware. Hope I DON’T have to buy another new graphics card later …

Just got a new graphic card replaced for my PC, so currently my PC is running fine and dandy… or maybe not. As I’m trying to install the card into my PC, Windows XP just didn’t feel like cooperating and would never let me install the driver for the graphic card. So I’m like “OK, so probably I’ll do a fresh install” and although that works, I can’t get 1024x768 to work! GAH!!! So now I’m facing a large-ish 800x600 screen (as in the UI stuff instead of UI space).

So now not only I have to find the time to reinstall all the software back into my PC, I also have to deal with the resolution issue. I have downloaded the latest graphic card driver, I really hope …

For those who aren’t aware, an earthquake strike Sumatra, Indonesia the day before, with the death toll currently standing around 400 (according to today’s papers). Condolences to those unfortunate people :(.

Saying so, there’s no news about a new wave of tsunami striking anywhere, but we do have a really heavy thunderstorm yesterday. And I’m really having some really unfortunate events when I was napping while the thunder struck my compy :(, the SECOND time! Luckily that the hardware spoilt this time is only my on-board display card and my poor modem (i.e. No Internet). But I wonder whether my wishes are being answered… -.-” But at least that gave me a chance to break away from the Internet for a while.

And the worst unfortunate event? I have TWO assignment deadlines this …

For some reasons the electrical supply doesn’t seem to be really stable today as I witness some really nasty electrical surges going on around my house. So I have quite a lot of really annoying moments of flickering lights in the whole house, and which also means that I can’t use the computer much as I’m worried about the fact that it might spoil my computer. And the bad news is that I have two assignments that needs to be handed up this week. Grr…

But at least I have some time to actually sit down and watch some TV. Honestly I’m not much of a TV person and i really have survived without TV for like… 6 months? But yeah it’s cool :). Watched Fear Factor today and somehow it …

For the past few days, it has been raining continuously . It’s pretty relaxing to see the rain drops while having my thoughts wandering around… As if to see my thoughts dancing around with the rain drops, cleansing them during the process. I just have that sensation of realization at some point for different things, however it is as seems that I had the answers without knowing how I reach to that conclusion.

In other news, I don’t think I’ll be expecting an eventful day today as I’m spending time at home working on assignments (if procrastination doesn’t kicks in, that is).

Just to make a mental note or else I might forget it later, as I notice that a few things which aren’t good for my health, physical or not, if I take or do it with excess. So the top four things that I need to keep tabs with and control are:

1. Orange Juice

   As much as I really like drinks made from anything citrus, too much of them would give me the coughs, which is not fun :(.

2. Sugar intake

   I don’t know whether it is my metabolism rate or is it my body condition, I do notice that an overdose of sweets or sugar intake would make me hyperactive and causing heartburns (well… not exactly a heartburn by definition, but I do feel the chest pain). And this heart burning sensation lasts …
