Halfway towards a small goal
I’m pretty excited today because I found that I’m halfway towards reaching one of my smaller financial goals: attaining RM100K in assets :).
Judging from this year’s economic outlook, it may be a bit challenging to meet the goal I have set for this year (RM80K), but it’s my responsibility to work things out for the better :).
Till then, I might as well just keep my spreadsheet updated from time to time, but I reckon that I’d ignore updating the latest stock prices there until we see a stabilizing situation.
Calculating Reality
Let me introduce you something closest to me: To your left, that’s what’s I’m facing every month.
“OK… that’s… personal.” some may have said, and probably the last thing anyone would like to even care about somebody else’s expenses sheet, which came also to be known as the “budget”. (At least I don’t find the picture personal to myself since what’s legible is probably the big numbers and probably with good eyes you can read the name of two charity bodies that I supported, the name of the gym that I joined and some broad categories that I listed there. None of them personal unless one wants to know which gym to stalk me LOLOL)
Despite the notion of having a budget, I’m pretty lenient with the …

… are Crocs :p.
Sort of my way to reward myself and the fact that my next job (which I anticipate to join in September) has a casual dress code. So there’s no better time to invest a good pair of shoes than now :p.
Anyway, actually it’s mainly because my aunt spoke highly about it and I would certainly want to know first hand on what this worldwide Crocs craze is all about :).
But for one thing their reputation of producing high quality shoes for comfort is in fact something that I can testify myself. Having walked the whole Midvalley for hours and making my legs aching enough to not ignoring it, just being in these shoes to test for size and comfort (you know, the customary test of walking a few circles …

I have been procrastinating long enough to organize my bookshelf: it’s until stacks of books scattered around the floor and blocking my way to my own closet that I decided that I had enough.
Two nights of continuous effort I finally had my books in order and in place… where it should belong. It’s sort of scary exciting to see the amount of books that I had the shelf that I have to resolve to dedicate two shelf space to put quite a number of books that I don’t think I’d be referring to them soon on a “sleeping” position. And what you don’t see in the picture are that among these lying books, about two or three piles have two layers on that pile: i.e. one on the …
Filling My House with House
The bad news: Tower Records at KLCC is closing shop :(. The good news that comes out of it: They are clearing off their selected stock at 70% off!
At times like this, you definitely know that I’ll exploit such opportunities. Originally the plan for me to stock up some Japanese CDs, but apparently they shove most of them behind the counter (obviously it’ll sent off to their other branches, that’s why I say selected ^^||). Heck I found my Plan B failed immediately as soon as I noticed empty classical and new age shelves. BUT~ the surprise comes when I notice they DO have a shelf displaying dance CDs.
Jackpot!
Compared to pop music, dance music has been quite an pricey hobby as they are priced at about RM80-150 range, so they …

Sometimes I find working was way to hectic than it’s actually work… well, I wish I could say that, but apparently with my emotional roller-coaster is still in the process of braking, I find myself completely drenched out of energy for the whole week. Also partially because my sleep debt is slowly creeping up to affect me (it’s probably not the first time I find myself realizing the commonly known fact that sleep deprivation is a major cause of stress). That time was one of my lowest performing times at which I can’t pull myself together to get things done.
And having people nagging you on things that I should (or even must) be doing isn’t making the situation any better. I was already trampled severely by my own conscience ^^||.
Sometimes …

Kung Fu Panda
Seriously, the movie had me completely in stitches. It’s THAT funny.
What I really like the movie is that they really utilized every single second with complete effectiveness: it will either shine you blind with awesomeness (steal this line from the movie directly ) or pound you bursting out with laughter punchline after punchline. Another very surprising fact is that how much Eastern influences were portrayed well in the movie, it’s really a great tribute to everything Chinese (heck I didn’t even expect acupuncture and Qigong to be featured in western Kung Fu films!): vivid, colourful and deep in spiritual meanings (without the cryptic and long-winded philosophies), I really salute the team behind movie.
There’s quite a number of unexpected scenes that completely took me by surprise, especially particular situations that …

Two job offers, a three-party bidding match… that’s really an overwhelming experience that I don’t know how to deal with, but I guess I know how it feels now :).
Anyway, I have tendered my resignation today and will be moving on to Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia (PRDCM) in September, which will give me a whole new environment to learn new things. Am really grateful with E-Genting R&D (Systems) with all the opportunities available which really took me to the next level and uncovering and trained me in quite a lot of skills that really transform me as a person. Mainly after I took on the project lead role which exposes me to real users.
I guess after all this while going through the ups and down, I think I have outgrown …
