Shifting Around

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Things are shifting around, both physically and mentally.

Physically, we are shifting office, starting from tomorrow. I really have no idea how to pack my stuff as I found that I hoard too much on my desk ^^||||.

Mentally… well, made some adjustments in life: picking up fragments, put them in a container and shake them up to see whether they make a solid mix. (Chemistry and physics, anyone :p)

Trying a different approach in handling things in life, if that’s a good way to put it :).

Lyrics From The Heart: 靠岸 (Alongshore)

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Received this song from a friend:

Translation (by yours truly ;), it’s kinda rough as some Chinese expressions are really hard to translate into English):

Lim Yee Chung - Alongshore

You sit by my side, but your expression looks very unnatural
All the conversations are very oridinary/common, but also very sad
You say you don’t believe that to live is completely for the dreams you had
You even suspect what “everlasting” really is
Coffee can’t make you forget about loneliness, it’ll only your heart burn even more
Ooh~ (It’s) the same …

Let’s Go For A Nature Trip!

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Went to a one-day nature trip with Sook Lan and Yuan Hui today, so it’s like… I woke up very early today, a groundbreaking 5:50am. Reached the lobby of our office building at around 6:50am and we departed at 7:30am.

Feeling at that moment: Quite excited and with anticipation. The agenda: Touring and visiting fruit farms and visiting some of the local food processing factories and businesses, such as potato chips and fish balls, in Tanjung Sepat

First stop, A dragon fruit/pitaya farm. It’s quite interesting because dragon fruits are planted locally only recently, and we got to know more about this cacti-looking plant. And the best part: It has beautiful scenery and some beautiful plants and flowers. Somehow I took tons of photographs like a photographer for documentary …

Technical Glitch

Seh Hui Leong

Life

First shock in the morning: the bathroom is in a mess when I woke up! O_O Reason: One of the hook was torn off from the small bathroom cabinet (you know, the one with a mirror in front of the sink?), causing the whole thing crashing down with all the stuff scattered on the bathroom floor. Apparently the ceiling leaks when it rained during the midnight and the wooden back of the cabinet kinda gave way (considering that it’s an old cabinet)

Then it’s pretty much cleaning up time and I did my chores while I’m at it.

Then later in the afternoon I went to the developer meeting at KLCC. Met up with Sze Hau and Wai Kiat (his friend, see presentation night entry), expect to get a very smooth event …

Puppy Love

Seh Hui Leong

Life

No, it’s not about me :p.

Just that when I came home, I just saw Leslie (one of the stray dogs being adopted by my aunt) lying on the lawn rather… well, unenergetically. That seem to tell me that something had happened. And indeed it was, as my aunt told me that both of her puppies has already been adopted.

Rewinding back, Leslie was a stray dog, by her looks and the breed of her she seemed to be abandoned by her owner. Just by chance she liked to hang around in my aunt’s house, and since my aunt had quite a fonding to her that my aunt allowed Leslie to drop by and roam around in the lawn.

One day Leslie gave birth to her puppies in our lawn. Only two of …

Valentine’s Eve

Life

Valentine’s day in one more hour. Will not be expecting anything, but any pleasant surprises on that day are greatly welcomed :D.

Wondering whether I want to get something (for myself) to indulge tomorrow :)…?

Peaceful Days

Seh Hui Leong

Life

This week can be simply described as peaceful - simply everything goes on the same after my CNY break.

Of course, that doesn’t mean no changes around me really as things goes on as well with other people: some good, some bad, and some unpredicted accidents. But I’m glad everyone’s OK, just that this temporary separation and knowing what happened during this gap made me understand better that nothing can be entirely sure and that there’s a lot of things beyond our control.

… Just feeling grateful with more things now :).

Sleepy Sleepy x\_x

Seh Hui Leong

Life

I’m wondering whether my energy was expended/burned out too fast, a very late night sleep, reading thick manuals or a combination of these factors made me very sleepy throughout the day x_x.

New challenge: to find ways to keep my energy levels balanced.

Anyway, in other news, this made me forgetting to update my LJ:

'Latest layout'

These came in on Tuesday (Monday, to be exact, but I’m not in the office then) and I have been spending a lot of time ripping them into my hard drive and listening to them :D.

Maharaja Night Hi-NRG Revolution Vol.14 is a definite classic to keep! 😄

Biggest Shock Back Home

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Here I am now: back in my aunt’s house in Petaling Jaya.

Will talk about my Chinese New Year back in my hometown (Kuala Kangsar) later, but just wanted to post something about the most grossest thing that happened in the house: Ants have been building an anthill inside the flushing rim O_O||. It’s like… EWW! Seeing ants crawling everywhere on the toilet bowl and when I flushed it to see what happened, at least hundreds or a thousand of live ants (!!) floats on top of the water, with them sticking together making some sort of a raft (or black patches, from my point of view).

Somehow I scooped them out and let them roam free to find a new home. But the experience still gives me the shivers.

Moral of story: Wash …

Back Safely” Notice

Seh Hui Leong

Life

I’m back home after a 4 hour ride + traffic jam :). Having a very slooooooow connection here (14.4K, geez!)~

Got into our “temporary” shelter today (aka my uncle’s ex-house) while my real home was now in shambles, making way for a new home to be built on the same plot of land. Getting used to the new home isn’t much a problem, just that the only problem is that I don’t know where everything is kept now. Guess that just needs time relearning and adjusting myself :).

The new home is expected to be completed around March, by the way.
