From My Portfolio: Enchanted Garden of War
Phew! Finally done with my virtual reality assignment, and I’m really glad that the final output looks awesome :). Great thanks to my group members in making this a blast! 😄 (especially Chong Seng who did the trees and flowers :D)
Anyway, enough talk~ Here’s the cool stuff :):
(Note: These are rendered slightly before I do some final modification to the garden, so it does looks a little bit different from the final garden in the video. I’ll post them up next time)
Exams are coming soon (starting 18 April), hopefully I can manage it :). But before that, I got two final year project presentation this week. Wish me luck!

I’m still at school fiddling with the assignment that needs to be handed in tomorrow. Anyway, while my team members are still tweaking of the extremely complex trees, I’m doing some adjustment work before finalizing our project.

New Signature: To See The World with Curious Eyes
More often than not, these signatures really reflect on my current situations and thoughts :). So I guess it’s time for a new signature ^^.
I’m reverting to the smaller format which I used to use over RPGamer’s forums (250 x 75 pixels). It’s basically hard work to cram a lot of things inside it, but I do find it appealing ^^.
For some reasons though, I just find the signature a bit… well, glaring, sort make me hard to see my signature properly without looking away from my monitor from time to time ^^”. Probably it’s because of the extremely clashing blue (but then I really wanted the shade of blue there) or the very bright red I used. Ah~ Probably if that’s really the case I’ll change a new one pretty shortly ^^”.

Anyway, this is for my Virtual Reality assignment, in which we are required to create/render a 3D environment. Guess I finally got a chance to do 3D instead of 2D. Anyway, our group decided to make a garden, called the Enchanted Garden of War, and here’s my design :):
(Yay for colour pencils <333, it is a bit sketchy since I only done a draft for it without much considerations :p)
For those who noticed, it is inspired by one of the popular custom maps in Warcraft 2, Garden of War :p.

Gah! For some reasons the Internet is getting REALLY sluggish @_@”. Add the fact that I’m on dialup with makes matters 1000 times worse. Slaps!
Anyway, I’m planning to get the latest distribution of Inkscape now… ;____;. I don’t wanna wait an hour to get it downloaded ;______;.
Here’s another cover art I have done… honestly… it wasn’t much different from the previous design so most probably I would have dump this away. But I do had fun doing the kerning and letter spacing stuff. So I’m still pretty much experimenting the features in Inkscape. Hopefully I’ll go… somewhere with it XDDD.
In other news, all of a sudden someone emailed saying that he really liked my manga site… which I haven’t been maintaining it like… YEARS …

If this is what they wanted (or at least the style they wanted), then my life would be much more easier because this one took me less than 30 minutes to generate it with Sodipodi (a open source vector art program, the features are kinda basic, but it’s powerful enough to create cool vector art). But I’m switching to it’s sister Inkscape because Sodipodi can’t seem to export their own art without crashing itself (BOO! 😠).
Tomorrow’s the meeting with the dreaded SAD department. I’m really looking forward to something that would prove my perceptions wrong all the while.
Yet (Another) Booklet Cover Design
Somehow I do need to think of a way to scream my lungs out because I didn’t sleep proper today just to get one design done for the ugh Student Affairs Department (codename: SAD).
They better don’t ignite my anger and fury.
Anyway,
I experimented with a new colouring style for this one, and it turns out to be quite cool indeed :). Yet another proud artwork from me ^^b.
The Image That’s Still Engraved In My Heart
Sweet memories will still be there… as much I tried not to look back…
The very smile… which gave me the strength… will always live on. As much as I always doubt my own decisions… his words… telling me to move on… to look forward… in the eyes of what’s ahead of me.
It’s time for me to move forward… and appreciate what I have and to strive for what I have wanted to achieve.
