TV And The Heat
Today is TOTALLY hot! Well… living in a country near the equator is like having summer the whole year round, but it seems that there’s a heat wave or something. The heat is so unbearable that the house is totally stuffy. Oh crap… I do wish it rain someday.
On another note, I have been gluing myself in front of the TV the whole night with my family today. Been catching the finale of Survivor All-Stars and the Badminton match between Denmark and Indonesia. And wow! It does get really personal in Survivor! I liked it when Shii An said that “If you wish to live in a glasshouse, don’t live near the stones” (or something like that). And it’s a mix of laughs and touchiness when it comes to the castaways …

Gosh! I’m still working on artworks to be included in my portfolio… And doing everything in pixel level is killing my eyes. Anyway, here’s some updated screen:
This is version 1.5 of the artwork… I like how I did the clouds, too bad I used too much colours.
This is version 2, with LOTS of shading (thanks for the critique by Sherman). I’m not totally impressed with the clouds… looks like version 2.5 should be around the corner.
Need to work on animated sprites soon before I might lose the chance for the job!
Relationship Blues (And A Few Artworks)
Yesterday night was really a heart-throbbing experience… It’s nothing really, just the “Allen obsessive-compulsive syndrome” ^^”. As much as I know that it happens (especially considering the fact this was my first time)… well, my brain can’t seem to erase the fact that he’ll always be there and kept on screaming “I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF HIM!!!” sigh Guess I need some time to cool down a bit. My heartbeat rate seems to increase by a factor of x the whole day, possibly excited. Well… it was painfully… sweet.
And yeah, I spent the whole night drawing stuff for my pen-pal, who is involve in their manga group called Crazy Catz, and here’s what I came out with:
Ayumi and Kage (Characters by Sakura, Crazy Catz)
Sheore (coloured)
The inked one …

This morning, the Students Affairs Department request for yet another wording change for their recycling contest poster. Basically I was only involved because apparently the Students Affairs drag the Computer Society as their co-organizers. And after spending quite some time designing the first poster (which is during my nasty Operating Systems assignment rush), which I took a hell lot of time to think of a catchy title and description, they asked me to reword the whole darn thing to a “straight-to-the-point” kind of poster (I admit mine is a little bit long-winded, but ask me to change everything! God damn it, I took an hour to think about a design that goes well with the text!!!).
I get so pissed off the day before that I don’t really cared: I only changed the …

Finally I managed to finish with the stepping sequence… here’s a snapshot on how fun and how nasty that it can be:
ARRGH~
And then this is the end result after about four days of constant labour (it’s not perfect, but don’t bother to fix me, since I have to start with the other parts now)
Stepping Mika
Well, at least thinking of the good side of things, the most repeated part has been done, that means that almost half of the workload has been lifted from my shoulders.
Phew… I slacking behind, I better pick up some pace.
Some Work Related Art
Here’s a poster I designed for our mini PC fair which is going to be held soon:

Netscape is acting kinda bitchy lately, so clicking the link directly will show you a 404 error. But no worries, just copy the address in your URL bar should do the trick. Otherwise… check Mary’s advice in the comments section.
