Drifting Thoughts of the Past: Support Pillars

This is an extract (or only partial) of my theories regarding view emotional support as pillars, which is basically in the form of an MSN conversation with Allen.

Ratatouille

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Just watch Ratatouille today, and do have to remind my friend to ask me four days1 earlier before the movie because I don’t want to face the queue of doom as far as I can help it.

First of all, I have to say how Pixar structured Ratatouille’s storyline is nothing new. Overall, it still follows the same formula that most animated features tends to use. But Pixar does made quite a few gambles which makes the movie extremely interesting: Imagine almost all cast having a French accent (personally it took me a while to adjust myself to it, and I think I missed out quite a couple of good jokes because of that) and having some darker elements in society being referenced in several parts in the movie (domestic violence plus …

Simultaneous Kick Off

… Simultaneous kicking off three blogs this month, adding this one that would be four blogs that I’m going to maintain ^^||.

Honestly speaking at the this stage I’d say that everything is still extremely experimental (except for this blog, since I’m pretty much updating pretty regularly), but it pretty much reflects the four things that I have been learning at the moment.

Anyway, the stuff is already included in my list of links on the right column, just drop by if it seemed like something that might interest you :).

Never knew that the song from Ayumi Hamasaki’s A BALLADS was actually a cover! The song is originally sung by Yuming (松任谷 由実, Maiden name 荒井由実) and was a song in 1975!

I personally liked Yuming’s album, acacia, a lot, so it really came to me a surprise. 😄

Finally! The first time I owned a Falcom soundtrack CD! 😄 Falcom J.D.K.BAND 1 arrange CD.

Sound Team JDK had always been one of my favourite video game music composer ever since I was exposed to Falcom game’s like 英雄伝説3:白き魔女 (was ported to PSP as The Legend of Heroes III: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch) and Ys II.

Retirement

Seh Hui Leong

Life

Just as a reminder to myself (which is also what has been constantly repeated in my brain):

By the time I’m capable to amass 500K in various assets, I’ll consider myself “retired” (or financially free). By “retired” doesn’t mean that I won’t continue to work and stuff, probably I’d say that by that time I’d be comfortable enough to tell myself “another day, another dollar”.

But honestly speaking, if I end up developing the habit of chasing the carrot in front of me, probably even by the time I reach that goal I’d never enjoy myself at all.

So in a way I do have to learn to keep my pessimism in check and enjoy what I have now. Probably just start by telling myself “another day, another dollar” (with the positive interpretation in mind).
