Expressing My Drifting Thoughts

Life

What a night today :), umm… yesterday (XD). It’s kinda interesting really as Theen Gee and I spent almost hours just having deep discussions regarding a lot of different topics, from the essense of religious faith, the meaning of life, Buddishm, relationship and even sexuality matters! (Well… having him as my temporary roommate, I believe that he has the right to know. Besides, Steven DID drop quite a lot of hints to him previously)

It’s really exciting throughout the whole discussion as it’s been quite a while ever since I get a chance to have someone to have deep discussions with. I believe the last time I ever had these kind of discussion is probably with Ahmed, but then again, it was like… say… 4 months ago? o_O”

But one thing I do …

PHEW! That’s a mouthful :p. (I mean the title)

Anyway, things have been pretty slow today, which is not really a good thing considering the fact that I only had that much time to revise for my exam.

I designed a poster for Dr Tay yesterday for the Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems (CVIS) Group. Basically this poster is going to be displayed during our university’s open day and my final year project will be presented there as well. 😊

'New CVIS Poster Design'

And yes I’m still experimenting with some simple vector arts in these :). And recently I have been spending time experimenting with new colours schemes, so this time round I fool around with contrasting colours (magic pink and earth green tones) and pastel like colours. I really like how the …

Today’s Drifting Thoughts: Walk In The Dusk

Seh Hui Leong

Reflections

Just for the past few days, I wasn’t feeling too well emotionally. How should I put it… I wouldn’t say that I was depressed or anything, just that I’m just feeling sad and weak.

Ever wondered the feeling that when you are feeling like being extremely intimate that special someone by your side, but only to realize that you are alone in reality? Just the thought alone makes me feel really desparate, really. During those days, I just feel so unmotivated, so weak to actually do anything productive. I just spent quite some time just lying on the bed, hugging anything soft within my reach. And having really intimate dreams doesn’t really help much either.

Only then I only realise one of my deepest desires is to have someone, a stronger …

To Love Oneself

Seh Hui Leong

Life

It’s been about a week ever since my modem fried, and having myself being less exposed to the Internet at the same time. Apart from checking my e-mail, catching up with the latest happenings of the online forums that I frequent and updating my LJ, most of my time spent is more on …mmm, living my life XDDD.

OK, maybe more than that.

These days I have been thinking, a lot in fact, reviewing quite a lot of my own perspective towards a lot of different things. It’s kind of interesting actually, I just feel like I’m putting myself on a third person perspective while looking into my thoughts during the past and present.

I believe what I have put on the title have summed up the thoughts that I have put …

Seeing The Raindrops

Life

Been raining quite a lot lately and that also means that I’m stuck in one.

The final year project presentation is pretty smooth, although I believe that I can do better (I always find myself making slight pauses once in a while to find suitable words on top of my brain). But overall I’m glad that I did quite well. (hopefully the grades also looks good as well).

Nothing much lately, it has been pretty calm after my final year project thesis has been handed up. Although there’re some rough and rushing times, but most part of it I find myself relaxing. Does this spell a possible plan for adventure? You bet ;). I’m kinda run out of ideas though, since I’m not that much of a wild person (Ed: Define …

Phew! Finally done with my virtual reality assignment, and I’m really glad that the final output looks awesome :). Great thanks to my group members in making this a blast! 😄 (especially Chong Seng who did the trees and flowers :D)

Anyway, enough talk~ Here’s the cool stuff :):

(Note: These are rendered slightly before I do some final modification to the garden, so it does looks a little bit different from the final garden in the video. I’ll post them up next time)

Some Changes Around Me

Seh Hui Leong

Life

And so I just reached home.

Qing Ming is pretty smooth and sunny yesterday :), but sunny might be the negative part of things as it’s blazing hot out there without any shades from anything on top of my head :p. Then I have to go back home as I do have classes today :(. But at least on the way with aunt Ling and uncle Vincent has been pretty fun :), for one thing I get to know Terrance better and got to continue (and finish) watching Initial D Third Stage The Movie. And I’m really excited to get to know more friends better along the way (which includes my team mates for my virtual reality assignment).

The second news is that now I’ll be having two roommates as two of my friends, Steven …

To Remember The Feelings of The Past

Seh Hui Leong

Life

First things first, I’m at my parents’ place now, as today (as in in 3 hours time or so) my family (including close relatives) will be going for Qing Ming (or Tomb Sweeping Day, according to Google search :p). For those who are non-Chinese, basically it’s a day where we visit the graveyard and upkeep our ancestors’ graves. It’s an important day as we should commemorate the deceased loved ones.

The thought and journey of being at home is extremely pleasant, and today is really special as everyone in my family has came back (as in my younger brother and sister). It’s been quite a while since we manage to have our whole family together :). It’s just like the good old days. It’s really pleasing to see that no …

More Series of Unfortunate Events

Life

Let’s see… more annoyance that I really feel really f’d (Guess that’s pretty implied) up. The list continues:

  • I notice that graphic card I bought is really a cheap imitation D:. OK, probably the chipset is definitely right (as shown in the BIOS screen anyway), but there’s definitely something really wrong with the electronics or the the driver provided (since I notice that the driver is written for… nVidia chipsets?!)

So I really don’t know what should I do with it now actually. Although it is OK to do my daily task, the games are EXTREMELY sluggish. And since the card is still usable, I don’t think I can get a refund or an exchange of hardware. Hope I DON’T have to buy another new graphics card later …

My Artwork: Chessboard

I’m still at school fiddling with the assignment that needs to be handed in tomorrow. Anyway, while my team members are still tweaking of the extremely complex trees, I’m doing some adjustment work before finalizing our project.

Here’s the chessboard which I have done myself:
